Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Scanning
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a non-destructive detection and imaging method commonly used to scan and identify subsurface elements. It locates the presence of voids, rebar, conduit, post-tension cables, and other structural elements hidden within concrete. GPR detects structural integrity of concrete and reveals the slab thickness and rebar spacing.
We highly recommend conducting a GPR scan before beginning any renovation or demolition activities which include concrete cutting, coring, and excavation deeper than 18”. This ensures safety and efficiency, and ensures minimal disruptions, avoiding costly errors.

Removal and Disposal Applications
Ground Penetrating Radar is an essential tool for ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in construction and renovation projects. By identifying hidden subsurface elements, GPR helps prevent costly mistakes, structural damage, and safety hazards. It is commonly used in the following applications:
- Locate rebar, conduit and post-tension cables
- Structural evaluation
- Locate buried utilities
- Void detection
- Mapping underground structures
- Location of pipes and electrical conduits
